Delete Your Account

We respect your right to control your personal data. You can delete your আমার সিটি (Amar City) account and all associated data at any time using the steps below.
How to Delete Your Account
Option 1: From the App (Recommended)
- Open the আমার সিটি app on your device.
- Go to the Profile tab (bottom right).
- Tap Settings.
- Scroll down and tap Delete Account.
- Confirm the deletion when prompted.
Your account and data will be permanently deleted immediately.
Option 2: Via Email
If you are unable to access the app, you can request account deletion by sending an email to [email protected] with the subject line "Account Deletion Request". Please include the phone number associated with your account so we can verify your identity. We will process your request within 7 business days.
What Data Is Deleted
When you delete your account, the following data is permanently removed:
- Account information — your name, phone number, email, and profile photo
- Saved listings — your bookmarked listings
- Questions & answers — content you posted in Community Q&A
- Listing submissions — any listings you submitted, including uploaded photos
- Points & activity history — your earned points and activity log
- Push notification tokens — your device registration for notifications
- Search history — your recent searches
What Data May Be Retained
In limited cases, we may retain certain data after account deletion as required by law or for legitimate business purposes:
- Crash logs — anonymized crash reports collected by Firebase Crashlytics may be retained for up to 90 days for app stability purposes. These logs do not contain personally identifiable information after account deletion.
- Legal obligations — if required by applicable law, we may retain records for the minimum period mandated by such law.
Important Notes
- Account deletion is permanent and irreversible. You will not be able to recover your account or any associated data.
- If you sign in again after deletion, a new account will be created with no prior data.
- Deleting the app from your device does not delete your account. You must follow the steps above.
